PARADE RULES:
All entries must submit entry forms by 4:30 PM June 20, 2008.
All entries will be judged in one category only. Judging to be finalized as the Parade assembles. Decisions will be finalized and announce immediately on completion of the Parade. Judges decisions will be final.
Entries will be responsible for their own clean-up of assemble area and parade route, specifically those entrants with animals, candies, balloons, or other goodies to be passed out to children, must be given by hand, by Parade participants who are separate from the float. For safety reasons, no items are to be thrown from the float
No soliciting will be allowed prior to or during the Parade, pamphlets or coupons must be approved.
The Parade Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry that it considers to be inappropriate or in bad taste.
The Parade Marshall reserves the right to designate the order of the Parade, and any preference for space MUST be specified above, along with the reasons for the request. All entries must be at the marshalling area (Shelly & Pioneer) by 8:45am, parade starts at 10:00am sharp.
Entrants are requested to decorate their floats as much as possible, keeping in mind that the event is Canada Day, where red and white are the predominant colours.
These rules are made available to all decorators and Parade participants, by the respective person in charge of their entry. Entrants observed not adhering to the above rules will be disqualified from prizes for 2009 and entry to the 2010
Parade may be denied.

INDEMNITY AGREEMENT: The applicant listed above agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and defend any action against the Rotary Club of Parksville and the City of Parksville, from and against all liabilities whatsoever, arising out of its participation in the 2009 Canada Day Parade. The applicant also agrees to accept the parade rules as outlined above.
